Laying on the railroad tracks

A friend and colleague are combining our coaching practices into some kind of new business entity – we have a name – Creative Health Care Leadership –  an a web-site under-construction.

A few days ago we spent the afternoon with a photographer planning for the web-site and whatever other needs may occur.  I am generally very camera shy and feel strongly that I am not photogenic.  However, this was fun!

We took some shots in my home, around the 1914 arts ands crafts architecture and then moved to Lake Harriet, one of the three fabulous lakes within south Minneapolis.  It was a beautiful day and we got some shots by the water and others by the trees and a few within the famous bandshell.  Heading back to the car we recalled that there are train tracks that run along the road, where now a Trolley moves folks around the lake during the summer months.

How often do you have a chance to play on the railroad tracks and have it documented on film?

In a moment I was Nell Fenwick in need of Dudley-Do-Right.  Until that moment I had not realized that I have always wanted to lay down on railroad tracks!

Again, the most magical moments come in the midst of the most mundane.  Today, I am working on being more open to what else I have always wanted to do and to ensure I don’t miss the next opportunity.

Photos to come!
