We start our holiday season, with a sock monkey

 

Since moving to Minneapolis 9 years ago, the start of our holiday season has become the opening night of the British TV Advertising Awards at the Walker Art Center.  This is, in short, 90 minutes of the top "telly" ads from the past year shown in Britian.  It is an annual reminder that our American sensibilites are so conservative – and that it is possible for a 30 – 90 second message to make you laugh or cry.
