…my plane for Tucson had shut its doors and was pulling away, And this after I huffed and puffed and ran 2 miles from one end of Concourse B to the other.
So, here it is mid-AM in Phoenix and I’m hanging out in a Route 66 themed bar with 9 guys and 1 other woman.
The BIG BIG screen TV shows news of only the incredible two games from Minneapolis during the past two nights. To my Michigan readers, I love you truly – and WE (where WE = Minnesota) WON BOTH GAMES!!! Even for me, who still does not understand these sports, it was pretty cool and exciting to watch. And I have to pay honor to that old Dome that hosted the games, with the challenge of turning a football stadium into a baseball field in less than 24 hours. She did her legacy proud.
Upcoming adventures…I will be in Tucson for 13 days, providing "family care" for my 101 year old Great Aunt. I am alone on the trip this time and kind of curious to see how I will fill these days without Edwin, Dakota, dinners and lunches with friends, work meetings, etc.
I’m considering making an investment such as I did when we visited India last year – to return a changed woman in some manner. To learn, discover, practice, engage in stillness, let my curiously overtake my laziness and my introversion. Or maybe I’ll just read a tons of books and feed the cat.
